Hurricane Relief Center 2024

In 2024, the club became the main Hurricane Relief Center for the Homosassa community. Despite its own flooding devastation, relief tables were set up in the parking lot to help those in need. With gratitude, the club later welcomed county officers, business leaders, agency workers and volunteers, thanking them for supporting hurricane relief aid services provided at the club.
County Commissioners Jeff Kinnard, Diana Finegan and Rebecca Bays; County Administrator Steve Howard and Chamber of Commerce Board Chair Stacey Justice-Worthington attended the dinner. Commissioners presented a certificate of recognition to Civic Club president Joe Fara.
